InWriting Support

InWriting helps you keep household records, see what changed, know what is ahead, and trace useful facts to their source while keeping your documents private and under your control.

Contact support

Tell us what device and operating-system version you use, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Please do not email private documents, account numbers, recovery codes, or other sensitive household information unless support specifically requests a privacy-safe sample.

Quick answers

Where are my documents stored?

Documents and app data stay encrypted in InWriting’s private storage on your device. InWriting has no account or developer-operated cloud sync.

How do I protect my records before changing devices or deleting the app?

Export the records you want to keep and save the exported copy somewhere you control. Keep the related recovery information separately. Removing the app may also remove content stored only inside it.

Why can’t InWriting use the camera or photo library?

Open iPhone or iPad Settings, select InWriting, and confirm the needed camera or photo-library permission is enabled. InWriting asks for these permissions only when you choose to photograph or import a document.

Does InWriting tell me whether a price, contract, or bill is fair or safe?

No. InWriting is descriptive, not advisory. It reports what your records contain and what differs between them. Use the original record and qualified advice for decisions that require them.

Does InWriting upload my documents?

No. InWriting has no developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud sync. Nothing leaves the app unless you deliberately export or share a copy.
